What a whirl wind it has been the last two weeks. This is the first time I have been able to sit down. In past two weeks at my KinderCare Environmental Camp we had chick days where we covered the parts of the egg and learned the development of chicks during incubation. This week we drove into gummy worm dissections and learned about earth worms and what they do for us.
Last week began out first of two weeks of camp. We took almost 180 campers to Feltner Camp in London KY. While at camp the Fayette County Fair began so had to return to start setting up for everything. Each and every night there is something going on. This year I took over the chick incubation and KY Kate at the fair. Also I set up all the 4-H's exhibits in the Lions Club Building.
Rounding out this week at the fair we have had the beef show on saturday where we had a great turn out. This week we will be having dog club demo, sheep show, goat show, hog show, poultry show, and parade of breeds. It is amazing to young youth being involved in such a great organization. In the picture below is our Fayette Co Youth winners at the Lamb show.
