Although the weather has not given us too many good days to work, we have been able to get a great deal done when we could. We have set up tobacco plots in Winchester, Grant County, and Anderson county so far. There is still a few plots to be set up which we will get done as soon as we are able to. Also, on the Spindletop research farm we have set out plastic for Watermelon trials and Powdery/Downy mildew tests later in the summer.
We are still making several farm visits to check out diseases in greenhouses and in the field with both tobacco and vegetables. This is coming together to be a very busy summer with much to learn.
