Chronicling the Learning and Discovery Process of our Cooperative Extension Service Interns

A very busy couple of weeks!
These past few week have been full of many different things. As for many of us interns fair week is upon us and working to get everything ready for our upcoming fair in Shelby County has been exciting. I have always participated in fair events, but never really got to help get ready for it. I have learned a lot and didn't realize so much planning was involved. I also got to go with our horticulture agent Walt Reichert to help judge downtown planters and saw some really pretty flower arrangements. The past two day we had our culinary institute and we got to make many different recipes and jelly. Country ham washing was last week and all the hams looked really good and soon will be ready for state fair. Well that's all for now and I sure there is more to come!
